Khaled Mohammed Al-Mutlaq, born in 1981, is a Saudi artist and calligrapher. He holds an official Ijazah in Arabic calligraphy and a professional evaluation certificate from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in collaboration with Misk Art Institute.
Khaled’s love for art began during his early school years. He was captivated by the formation of Arabic letters, particularly during art classes where he closely observed the intricate calligraphy written by his teacher. Inspired by the beauty of letterforms and nature, he explored various visual arts including oil painting and ceramics.
His artistic journey formally started in 1997 when he joined Abha’s Al-Muftaha Village, a vibrant hub for Saudi visual artists. There, he learned from leading artists, attended art workshops, and participated in group exhibitions that paved his path toward professionalism.
